Rikke Frank Jørgensen is a Senior Researcher at the Danish Institute for Human Rights, focusing on the interface between technology and human rights. Her experience includes ICT policy making within the Danish Government, and international internet rights advocacy via European Digital Rights (EDRI) and Digital Rights (DK). Recently, she has served as an international expert in Council of Europe´s working group on Rights of Internet Users, and is on the advisory board of Privacy International (London) and Ranking Digital Rights (Washington).

Her recearch has resulted in "Framing the Net – the Internet and Human Rights" (Edward Elgar 2013), "Human Rights in the Global Information Society (MIT Press 2006), and "Overvågning eller Omsorg - Privatlivets Grænser (Thomsen 2005), as well as numerous articles. Her current research focuses on the commercialized public sphere (e.g. the role of intermediaries such as Google and Facebook vis-à-vis users rights); and the application of human rights standards in global internet policy processes.
