Virtual Experiences. For its first time, re:publica featured a programme track dedicated to art! It looked at moving art from the realm of theory to the realm of “experience”. “Immersive Arts” means diving head-first into art, committing yourself to it and becoming a part of it. The track featured hands-on participative interactions and whole environments which were set up on the re:publica grounds. It also encompassed participatory stage discussions and talks on art and art creation.
re:publica TEN was giving special attention to the latest technologies. The application of virtual reality and augmented reality technologies in art production and dissemination is an exciting topic in film, performance and even literature. Through the new “Immersive Arts” tracks, hosted in our new labore:tory location, we explored new approach in thinking and experiencing art. "Immersive Arts" was realised in cooperation with the Perfroming Arts Programm Berlin (PAP).
