Eva Blum-Dumontet is a research officer at Privacy International. She investigates the surveillance industry and how surveillance is being conducted in South America, North Africa and South East Asia. She is the author of several reports, including one on exposing the role of Microsoft in free speech trials in Thailand and one revealing the existence of a secret intelligence unit in Egypt. Prior to joining Privacy International she worked as journalist for Arte and as a production coordinator for Tactical Tech.
