Bastian founded the #dedoc° Diabetes Online Community, a German not-for-profit recently granted the PULSUS Award as best digital health project in Germany.

As CEO of dedoc labs, Bastian strives to build, connect and empower patient communities. He also works as a consultant on patient centered communication & design, and is member of the Board of the German Diabetes Association (diabetesDE).

As diabetes advocate, Bastian believes in the power of peer-to-peer support and a strong patient voice.
