The idea for this project came when ebola stroke 2014 in Sierra Leone, Liberia and Guinea leaving behind more than 11.000 death people. The great demand for medical experts at the epidemic site was only slowly covered by limited national and international interventions.

We identified the lack of medical experts on the epidemic site as the major problem to provide quick and efficient help. We thought about a possibility to deliver the desired knowledge to help people in need from the home office. With OneWordDoctors.org we want to lower the barrier between the patients in need and the well trained medical experts all over the world.
