Kurzthese:

400% import taxes on hardware, no legal base for co-working, criminalized use of technologies - policies can have a very direct impact on technology entrepreneurs and innovators. The panel will compare and contrast numerous policies from different countries affecting innovation ecosystems and evaluate successful and less successful policies from a grassroots perspective.

Beschreibung:

Starting a business is hard. It's even harder if you have no actual legal status that fits your business format. But registering is just one of the many woes of innovators and entrepreneurs when interacting with government in most countries. Policy frameworks can do a lot to either enable or hinder local innovation.

We have examined good and bad practices in global innovation ecosystems by surveying Global Innovation Gathering network members on a breadth of questions regarding the business and innovation policies. The panel will analyse and discuss 5 key areas of government policies affecting the entrepreneurship and innovation across the world and discuss together how can innovators and networks like GIG organize themselves to influence public policy and overcome the challenges.

In a “What would you do, if you were in charge of policy?” segment, the panel will discuss a wish list of do’s and dont’s in public policy and recommendations on how governments and entrepreneurs can better cooperate.
