Virtuell und digital sind real. Wie digitale Interaktionen stattfinden und uns verändern.

Media Convention
re:publica 2016

Kurzthese:

Note: The talk will be held in German but will be translated into English.

Why do people still go to conferences? They already know each other from Twitter and Facebook. Does taking a selfie together seal the friendship? Yet if all your online friends post “happy birthday” on your birthday, that feels good in real life, too. How do our digital and real-world communications differ? Haven’t the borders between the two in fact fallen? Is the smartphone zombie maybe just an intermediate step towards a future golden age of communication?
