Elke Walthelm ist seit Februar 2016 Executive Vice President Content bei Sky Deutschland. 

In dieser Funktion ist Walthelm für die übergeordnete Programmstrategie von Sky Deutschland verantwortlich. Unter anderem zählen hierzu der Programmrechte-Erwerb, das Partnersender-Management, die Programmplanung sowie die Gestaltung des Angebots Sky On Demand. Darüber hinaus fallen die Weiterentwicklung der Sky Film und Sky Entertainment Sender bzw. Pakete sowie die Auswahl und Entwicklung von Eigenproduktionen in ihren Aufgabenbereich. Die 39-Jährige ist bereits seit 2005 im Unternehmen und hat vor ihrer Berufung in das Executive Management Team als stellvertretende Programmchefin in erster Linie die Geschäftsbeziehungen zu allen Sky Partnersendern gesteuert. In dieser Position konnte sie zahlreiche wichtige Kooperationen z. B. mit Disney, Fox Network Group und Turner Broadcasting schließen, verlängern und weiter ausbauen. Vor ihrer Zeit bei Sky arbeitete Walthelm bei der strategischen Unternehmensberatung BBDO Consulting.

Elke Walthelm has been Sky Deutschland’s executive vice president for content since February 2016.

In this function, Walthelm is responsible for Sky Deutschland’s overall programming strategy. This includes acquisition of program rights, management of partner networks, programme planning, and the design of Sky On Demand’s offerings. Her tasks also include the further development of the Sky Film and Sky Entertainment networks and packages, and the selection and development of original content.

The 39-year-old has worked for the company since 2005. Before her appointment to the executive management team, she served as a deputy programming manager primarily responsible for business relationships with all Sky partner networks. In this position, she was able to conclude, extend, and expand numerous important partnerships, including those with Disney, the Fox Network Group, and Turner Broadcasting. Before her time at Sky, Walthelm worked for BBDO Consulting, a strategic business consultancy.
