Johannes Schubert studiert Film- und Fernsehproduktion an der Filmuniversität Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF und produziert dort mit großer Leidenschaft Kurzfilme. Denny Koch ist passionierter Tüftler und arbeitet als Interface- und Interaction Designer mit dem Schwerpunkt Virtual Reality in Berlin. Seit der gemeinsamen Arbeit an einem durch das MIZ Babelsberg geförderten Forschungsprojektes, beschäftigen sich die beiden mit der Frage der Rolle von Interaktivität für die Zukunft von Film und Fernsehen. So entstand auch die Idee zu “Stop-Motion VR”. Mithilfe der Förderung des MIZ entwickeln Johannes Schubert und Denny Koch einen Workflow für die Umsetzung von Stop-Motion Animation in der Virtual Reality.

Johannes Schubert studied film and television production at the Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF, passionately producing many short films there. Denny Koch is an avid tinkerer, and works in Berlin as an interface and interaction designer with a focus on virtual reality. Since working together on a research project funded by MIZ Babelsberg, the two have together been addressing the role that interactivity will play in the future of film and television. The idea of stop-motion VR emerged from this work. With the help of the MIZ funding, Schubert and Koch are developing a workflow for the implementation of stop-motion animation in a virtual-reality setting.
